TiVo Desktop is a program created by TiVo to transfer recordings with TiVoToGo along with decrypting and encoding them. TiVo Desktop Plus, a paid program can also be used for sharing your music, videos, or photos to the TiVo, and videos can be transferred as a recording. However, you cannot purchase TiVo Desktop Plus to this day. TiVo Desktop is the official application to transfer recordings and decrypt and encode them, but the community has made their own apps with more features, such as kmttg, pyTiVo, cTiVo, and Archivo.
